Additional lawsuits piling up against Hun Xen: VOA

VOA reported that opposition leader Sam Rainsy and the Cambodian people will bring up two additional lawsuits against PM Hun Xen for crime against humanity and several other crimes. The two additional lawsuits against Hun Xen will bring the total number of lawsuits against the latter to 3. The two latest cases stem from Hun Xen's involvement in the Bamboo wall (Kor-5) crime, and in the killing of numerous Funcinpec officials during the 1997 coup d'état.

Listeners to this VOA audio program should also pay attention to the claim made by CPP MP Cheam Yeap: In trying to defend his boss, Mr. Cheam Yeap ended up contradicting him by openly claiming that it was the Vietnamese army which drove Pol Pot out of power and that members of the puppet Heng Samrin regime only took the back seat. In more recent speeches, the CPP always credits itself as being the one driving Pol Pot out of power. Apparently, it was not so.
